Hello All,

We had one great miracle this week.  About 2-3 months ago we tracted into a part member family.  Kara is a member, but her husband Vae is not a member.  Initially Vae was the one who said that they needed to come back to church.  So we tried hard to meet with them regularly and it has been a struggle, but this last week we were able to teach a powerful lesson about the Book of Mormon, and Vae told us that he would be baptized if he gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon.  We committed him to read and pray about it.  We have a lesson with him this week and we are going to commit him for a date, because he will for sure receive an answer.  I am really hoping for this miracle at the end of my mission.  I want to come home on a high note, so I am putting a lot of faith so Vae can get baptized before I come home.

This week Elder Hamula from the First Quorum of the 70 is on a mission tour, so we get to receive training from him on Thursday, which we are really excited about!

I have attached a few photos,  2 of them are from Tori and Troy Jackson's Baptism, and one of them is of Elder Grayson (The missionary I trained), and Elder San(The missionary Elder Grayson is now training).  For those who have served missions you know the lingo they use.  When you train you have a son, so now I have 1 son and a grandson according to that lingo.  It was exciting to see that a missionary I trained in training early on in his mission.  I only trained once, so it is pretty cool.  Being a zone leader is busy, but really good as well.

I only have 5 weeks left, so I will be seeing some of you pretty soon here.  Have a great week!

Hello All,

This week was once again an average but great week!  We saw many miracles.  We have been working with Troy and Tori Jackson for the last couple of months and they are getting baptizedthis Saturday.  It is pretty solid, and I am really looking forward to it!  We were able to recommit Suzanne to quit smoking and be baptized on the 24th of May.  She has done good so far, so we are praying for a miracle to happen with her.  We knocked on doors a lot this week as well.  I love being a missionary.  It is crazy to think how close the end is coming, but I am definitely going to miss this great and marvelous work.  Missionary work is one of the greatest works on the earth today.  The prophet has called us to hasten the work of salvation.  I know that as members and missionaries come together this time will be the time of greatest growth in the church.  Now is an exciting time to be a missionary.  I have witnessed the Lord Hastening his work here and I am sure he is softening the hearts of people and preparing them to be found by all members and missionaries.  Members are the finders and Missionaries are the teachers.  If we try our best to go out of our way to share the gospel with our friends and as we pray for missionary experiences, they will come, and even though some of you may not be missionaries, you can experience many miracles doing member missionary work.  I love being a missionary and I hope you all have a spectacular week!

Hello All,

This week was a great week!  We had 2 mini missionaries with us for the whole week and we were able to find a lot of people who can potentially become new investigators.  They were from the Sunshine Coast, which is about a 2ish hour drive from the Gold Coast where I am serving now.  The Waka children should get baptized this week if their parents don't find another excuse to postpone the baptism again.  The week wasn't super eventful, but the mini missionaries had great experiences meeting the many interesting Australian people who you don't really come across in everyday life.  We did find one new investigator this week though.  He name is Dave and he moved in with one of the less active members in the ward.  He is pretty interesting.  Him and the less active met in the mental hospital, but he seems pretty normal and as we shared a lesson with him he started to cry as he said the prayer at the end of the lesson.  It should be good as we teach him some more.  They are planning on getting married sometime later this year.

It was a pretty average week this week and we hope there are many miracles to come this next week!  I hope you all have a great week this week!

Hello All,

Our week was really good.  We got some mini missionaries with us for most of this week which will be really good for our area.  We are really trying hard to find some new investigators this week, so we should be successful with that goal.  The Jacksons had to postpone the baptism for 2 weeks.  They are going to be getting baptized the same day as the Waka Children, which will be really good.  I am doing great, and we are hoping for many miracles this next week!  Have a great week!

Hello All,

This week was pretty good.  I was sick for a couple of days which wasn't so delightful.  We were still able to teach many of our investigators though.  The Jackson Children are getting baptized on Saturday.  We got to go to the temple today which was really great!  We have spent a lot of time on tradeoffs as well, so I have been working in some of the other areas in the zone.  Not too much happened this week, but that is OK!  I love being a missionary and I hope you all have a great week!

Hello All,

This week was pretty good.  Not super eventful though.  The Waka's had to postpone their baptism because they want the Dad to baptize the kids and since he is less active they need to wait for him to come to church for a couple of weeks.  But The sister missionaries in the Ward had an investigator get baptized and he asked me to be the one to baptize him.  It was pretty cool to do that.  His name is Sergio and he is from Paraguay.  It was good.  The 2 Jackson kids, Troy and Tori are back on date for the 12th, which is excited since their Dad is coming back from Perth to see the baptism.  We had a Leadership Council with the mission president on Friday which I learned a lot from, and found out that our zone, the Coomera Zone is the top zone in the mission right now, so that was great to hear.  Since I have come to the zone it had grown a lot and we are seeing a lot of success from the effort we have made to help all the other missionaries in the zone become more committed and converted, and that is what has helped the work grow.  We didn't have much time to work this week because of all the meetings we went to.  In just 3 days we drove a total of 600 Kilometers driving around and doing things for missionaries and going into the city.  That was about it for our week.  We are looking forward to a great week this week and a great month in April.  I hope you all have a great week!

Hello All,

This week was really good!  It was transfer week and Elder Nelson and I are staying together again.  It will be our 3rd transfer period together, so it should be good.  We have been together for 3 months and at the end of this 6 weeks it will be 4.5 months.  A few things have changed in our zone, but have mostly stayed the same.  The assistants told us that our zone is the most successful zone at the moment, so we are really looking forward to this next transfer.  There is only one more transfer period before I come home.  Its coming pretty fast and I am sure it will be here before I know it.

The Waka kids are getting baptized this Saturday, which we are really excited about.  and Suzanne might get baptized..  She will be baptized if she is able to give up smoking this week.  She has done good so far, so we are going to hope for the best.  Also on Saturday the sisters investigator has asked me to baptize him, so Saturday will be an action packed day.

We tracted heaps this week.  We are hoping for a lot more miracles this week though.  I miss you all and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
